The feature film The prisoner of Bordeaux by Patricia Mazuy with Isabelle Huppert and Hafsia Herzi, was selected for the Quinzaine des Cinéastes during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Synopsis : Alma, alone in her large city house, and Mina, a young mother in a distant suburb, have organized their lives around the absence of their two husbands, both imprisoned in the same place… During a prison visit, the two women meet and embark on a friendship as unlikely as it is tumultuous…
Filming took place in Gironde during the fall of 2023 for a period of 30 days, involving nearly 25 Gironde technicians.
A preview screening is being organized as part of the Quinzaine en salle on June 6 at 20pm at the Utopia.
This project, supported by the Gironde department and accompanied by Gironde Tournages, will be released in theaters on August 21, 2024.
