Synopsis: Born in a modest stud farm in the Gironde region, Jappeloup was destined for the racetrack. His breeder suspected that this small, rather ungainly horse had potential for jumping. He introduced him to Serge Durand, a stud farm owner, and his son Pierre, a passionate show jumper. However, the young man didn't even bother to ride him, judging the horse too small.
