Eco-production
The audiovisual sector produces 1,7 million tons
of CO2 in the atmosphere per year.
The Gironde filming reception office supports, promotes and encourages projects that are part of an eco-production approach. As a result, Gironde Tournages provides a list of local service providers who are part of this sustainable approach.

Mobility
Implementing a reduction in individual journeys is the most impactful approach in terms of reducing CO2 emissions.
According to ADEME, the most ecological means of transport, after the train, is public transport. In the city of Bordeaux, you can find the TBM service but also the V3 bikes.
Carpooling is also a very good way to reduce CO2 emissions. It is also possible to rent minibuses.
Reduce your carbon footprint for each production item
Here are different examples of initiatives to reduce your carbon footprint at each production station:
Gironde Tournages provides a list of service providers for HMC and decoration purchases.
Practical sheets by profession developed by the Ecoprod collective.
Signage and posters designed by Ecoprod to facilitate the sorting of waste in your premises and on your shoots
For the sets, the EcoDéco Cinéma collective aims to discuss the cinema and audiovisual professions for a more ecological practice.
For the management, ECO Déco Ciné is a think tank whose vocation is to share its experiences and information for more ecological professional practices.
To learn more
Being a sector that conveys messages and shapes collective representations, it is necessary to engage and support our sector in virtuous environmental practices.
Many companies then emerged with the aim of supporting, advising and training production companies in this new way of producing.
It is in this spirit that Ecoprod was born. Created in 2009 by ADEME, AUDIENS, the Ile de France Film Commission, DIRECCTE IDF, France Télévisions and TF1, Ecoprod's mission is to raise awareness in this vast sector of its environmental impact.
Since 2021, Ecoprod has been an association whose founding members are Audiens, the Canal + group, the CST, Film Paris Region, the France TV group and the TF1 group, supported by Afdas and the CNC.
The association wants to be an independent place, for cooperation and exchanges, as well as a resource center to raise awareness, train and concretely support professionals with tools, advice and training.
Ecoprod is intended for film professionals who wish to move towards a new way of producing their audiovisual works.
It provides productions with practical tools to produce with a more environmentally friendly approach.
ADEME, also called the Ecological Transition Agency, is a state body whose main purpose is to support companies, local authorities, public authorities and individuals towards the energy transition.
Film France is the national film commission integrated into the CNC's attractiveness service. You can find on the site the various additional approaches that may be necessary in the context of the regulations for the protection of biodiversity.
The National Cinema Center announced in June 2021, the implementation of an Action plan! for a public policy of ecological and energy transition in the cinema, audiovisual and animated image sectors. This plan has two objectives: to support the sector to meet climate challenges and to drive the ecological and energy transformation of our country.
