As part of the filming of the short film The Girl of the Air (drama, 20 min) written and directed by Thibaud Caschera, Bradamante Productions is looking for an apartment in the center of Bordeaux.
Project summary
The Girl of the Air is a short fiction film. The film follows the encounter, over the course of a day in Bordeaux, between Carmen, a 25-year-old woman passing through after a breakup, and Gédéon, an 18-year-old boy, solitary and dreamy. Through their exchanges, a fragile and ambiguous relationship emerges, made up of glances, projections, and silences.
The project pays particular attention to the locations, the light and a sensitive and refined atmosphere, serving the intimacy of the characters.
Criteria relating to the desired decor
For the filming, we are looking for an apartment that can serve as a set for Carmen's apartment.
Ideally:
- Apartment overlooking the street
- Located in the center of Bordeaux
Prime neighborhoods: Quinconces, Cours Tourny, Jardin Public, Saint Pierre, Saint Paul - Old building from the 18th or 19th century
- Living room spacious enough to accommodate: a bed, a small sofa
- Large window providing beautiful natural light
- If possible, with a small balcony
- Simple and uncluttered decor, without an accumulation of knick-knacks
Filming conditions
- Filming duration: 1 or 2 days, including one evening/night
- Period: late April / mid-May – exact dates to be determined
- Rental budget: Less than €90/day
We would also need to visit the accommodation around the beginning of April, for a reconnaissance session of a few hours, during the day.
We place great importance on respecting the premises and their occupants. Filming will be carried out with a small, supervised crew, in a professional and respectful manner.
