The Bordeaux business and urban districts,a complete urban ecosystem!

The Mériadeck district of Bordeaux offers a perfect balance between contemporary architecture and the urban atmosphere reminiscent of Parisian districts such as La Défense. Its tree-lined streets, modernist buildings, and spacious public spaces recall the ambiance of an old-fashioned Parisian business district.

The urban districts of Bordeaux, Aubiers, Benauge, also have everything to please and are often chosen to reproduce the atmosphere of Parisian urban districts. The presence of tall buildings helps create a dynamic urban skyline, while central squares in these large structured complexes, with large green spaces between the buildings.

Among these districts, the Grand Parc, built in the 60s and its building blocks which rise up to 22 floors while dominating an 8 hectare park, recall the peripheral districts of Paris.

Did you know?

Located near the city center of Bordeaux, the Mériadeck district is distinguished by its unique urban planning and its architecture, typical of the 1960s and 1970s. This modernist style has also led to its UNESCO heritage status.

Mériadeck, with its futuristic look, contrasts sharply with the rest of the city. Inspired by the La Défense district in Paris, Mériadeck was designed with a raised slab to separate the traffic flows of cars and pedestrians. Access is by stairs, and overhead walkways are used to cross the streets.

This business district is also an administrative and political center, housing the Prefecture, the Hôtel du Département, the Hôtel de Région, Bordeaux Métropole, the DDASS, the Trésorerie Générale, as well as a shopping center, businesses, and residential housing. Mériadeck is a complete urban ecosystem, combining business, administration, commerce and residence.
