Synopsis: France, early 60s. Simon, wrestler, wears the white mask, in the ring he is "Le Spectre". He offers his friend Victor, back from the war, to be his adversary in the black mask: “L’Équarrisseur de Belleville”.
But for Victor, still fragile, the role soon seems too heavy to carry: for once in his life, he would like to be in the skin of the one who is applauded. Simon then suggests to his friend to exchange the masks. But we do not deceive this environment there with impunity…
