Who could have wanted Éliane Caron, an environmental activist deeply committed to protecting the Landes forest, so badly as to murder her and leave her body in a clearing? What connection could there be between the victim and the famous novel Thérèse Desqueyroux by François Mauriac—the great writer born in the region—a rare edition of which was found on the victim? This delicate investigation will be led by Captain Clara Castella and Commander Julien Belmont.
