Synopsis: For years, Axel has been estranged from his family, devastated by a tragedy for which he was blamed. When the cargo ship he works on as a cook docks in his hometown, he decides to visit his mother, Françoise. It's a shock: she no longer recognizes him. Suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Françoise is now forgetting entire periods of her life. Axel is the first of her siblings to disappear from her memory. Why him? What lies behind this amnesia? And while Ivan and Lucie have agreed to have her admitted to a care facility, Axel vehemently opposes it and delays his departure to take care of her, despite the tension. The long-dreaded yet necessary confrontation between mother and son then begins. Forced to journey into their family's memories before everything is erased, will they find the keys to bury the ghosts of the past?
