Synopsis: Pushed by his mother Catherine de Médicis, Charles IX forced his sister Marguerite to marry Henri de Navarre. This marriage aims to appease the climate of tension which reigns in France, country torn by the wars of religion. Margot hates her husband and passionately loves her lover, La Môle.
