Synopsis: By dint of meeting at the Barchandeau relay, Jean Viard, driver on Paris-Bordeaux, and Clothilde Brachet, waitress, gradually fall in love with each other. They are satisfied at first to live their passion intermittently, but, the day when Jean, exasperated, hits a fussy traffic controller, and that at the same time Clothilde is expecting a child, their relationship turns tragic.
