Synopsis: Alassane, a thirty-year-old French-Senegalese man, lives alone with his nine-year-old son, Yanis, in a run-down studio apartment in the suburbs of Bordeaux. Unemployed, Alassane does everything he can to make ends meet. The day the juvenile court judge decides to place Yanis in foster care, Alassane takes every risk to stay with his son.
