The medium length Against Cruel Bordeaux by Claire Maugendre was awarded the Label Jeune Création Prize and the Cine+ Grand Prix at the Brive Film Festival, International Meetings of Medium-Sized Films.

Horrifying love story. In a museum, a black boy meets a young white girl who soon has eyes only for him. If she wants to see him again, the boy asks the girl for her word. Never touch it, not even with your fingertips. But the girl does not keep her promise.

 

The film is a cine-novel, entirely made in photographs, with a voice-over. The Bordeaux director Claire Maugendre had already made two short films Phallus Malus in 2017 and le cri de viola in 2014. The film was shot entirely in the territory of Gironde, will you recognize them?
