The National Centre for Cinema and Animated Images (CNC) and Agefiph, joined this year by Adami, are renewing for a 5th edition the call for projects "Les Uns et les autres" with the desire to support and accompany projects promoting the professional inclusion of people with disabilities in companies in the film, audiovisual, animation and video game sectors.
With the arrival of Adami as a partner alongside the CNC and Agefiph this year, the budget for the call for projects "Les uns et les autres" is increased by €380,000.
The actions and organisations sought for this call for projects aim to develop initial, continuing or work-study training; adapt existing workstations; create or acquire tools adapted to different types of disability; facilitate professional mobility; and connect professionals with disabilities and employers in the sector.
Applications are open this year the 13 April 30 May 2026.
Josephine Japy, director and actress, president of the jury
For this 5th edition , the jury will be chaired by actress and director Joséphine Japy, whose first film Qui brille au combat was supported by the scheme in 2024.
It will be composed of professionals recognized for their commitment to inclusion, and will evaluate projects based on their potential impact and feasibility. They will be accompanied by representatives from Agefiph, Audiens, and Adami.
50 projects supported since the creation of the scheme
Since the launch of this call for projects in 2002, 50 initiatives have been supported with €1,165,000, and more than 90 projects have been submitted.
These include creative projects (feature films, documentaries, short films, and series), training programs, festivals, networking platforms, and the development of accessible tools and resources aimed at improving working conditions and promoting access to employment for people with disabilities in the film and audiovisual sectors.
Here are some examples of projects supported during the last 4 editions:
- Series Toulouse Lautrec by Fanny Riedberger (produced by Fédération Studios for TF1) for which the production wanted to cast teenagers with real disabilities in main roles and extras, requiring a specific and innovative system to integrate these actors into the series and the working collective.
- the Tremplin scheme, run by Séquences Clés production, which works to support people with disabilities towards employment in the film and audiovisual sectors.
- The accessibility training program for cinema trainers, run by Ciné Sens, brings together people with sensory disabilities and film professionals. The program aims to provide tools for effectively addressing accessibility issues and to increase the capacity for intervention on this topic.
- the short movie Diego by Melissa Silveira (produced by TopShot Films) who hired an actor with a disability to play the lead role.
- Snowdrop Live! A cinema (5 screens) and cultural center project will aim to create jobs and improve employability for people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities. Led by the Perce-Neige Foundation, in cooperation with a group of entrepreneurs within the Culture and Disability Foundation, Perce Neige Live! plans to hire approximately 70 people with disabilities and aims to attract nearly 300.000 visitors per year.
